- Back around ‘95, I found my grandma’s Japanese tv magazines and saw pictures of Kimutaku and watched some of his dramas and bought the Wool cd at tower records. Basically, when the internet was barely getting started and very low content and means of getting info. Waited minutes for a scanned photo to appear. Joined a smap email list when I finally got email and would trade vhs tapes of jdramas/variety shows and cassettes. Yeah I’m that old. Haha! My greatest accomplishment back then was getting a grainy copy of a copy of a copy of Long Vacation with eng subs and buying a ton of smap singles and magazines on my second trip to Japan.
- Pretty low, just what I can recall from old college classes.

- WEST is Fujii Ryusei, because he's just perfectly my type... And various reasons. LOL HSJ is Yaotome Hikaru, because he's basically Fujii Ryusei, but in a different edition?? Sexy Zone is Sato Shori, SMAP is Kimura Takuya!! And for other groups I can't really choose??
- I love 100% I love you by Johnny's WEST, Lion Heart by SMAP...
- So, when I was 7, it's the first time I heard Johnny's and Japanese songs in general. My parents got home some SMAP mini singles, which was so weird because SLOVAKIA!!!! and the first song I heard was Lion Heart by SMAP. I was in love instantly. And do you know what's the funniest thing? The release date of that song is exactly my birthday ... Day, month, year. It's fate. So I've been Johnny's fan for 12 years now, this year it's going to be my 13 years in the fandom. :)

How I got into Jpop? Through Japanese Dorama and through my friends that are already like them :D
My Japanese is very very very limited only those words I know from watching dorama but not the writings... I have interest to learn japanese but can't find the time to properly learn.

Previously, I only listen to their song in Johnnys Countdown concert. I was kind of shocked when I discover they sang theme songs of a few songs that I'm growing up with (Take Me Higher, Change The World, Feel your Breeze).
Favourite memmber?? I guess I'll pick Ohkura. For V6, I like all of them.it's hard to pick coz all of them have a great distinct personality. previously I will only recognize V6 when I spot Inohara. but now I recognize them all.

all of these songs brighten up my day. I first discovered Life, me no mae mukou e when I was in a really bad condition. although I dont understand the song, the word gambatte really helps me a lot.
growing up, i always watch anime, cartoon, and drama from Japan. I think the first Johnnys that I saw on Tv was Tackey. He starred in news no onna. but I really get into Jpop after i searching for Nishikido (after watched Ryusei no Kizuna) . that introduce me into News, then Kanjnai8, then rest of Johnnys.
well, i never study Japanese, but i recognize somejapanese words like greeting,colours and foods.

Oh my God!!! My favorite member and the love of my life is Daiki Arioka (ahhhh~ <3) I looooooove him so very much. I'll tell you my story! When I started listening to Hey! Say! JUMP I started liking Yabu at first (hahahahaha) I don't know I thought he was handsome in Mayonaka no shadow boy hahahahaha. I liked him for like a week but then when I watched the dreams come true PV and saw the radiant smile of Daiki. I fell in love instantly, I have never seen a smile as beautiful as his <3 and well after that, I started obsessing over him. I find him the most beautiful human being in the universe. To this day I love him the most <3 He is like the sun to me, so warm and bright ajdfhjaf Sorry I think I said too much >_<U My favorite song is... well I have many favorite songs! Like Bouken rider, Dash!, Wo I need you, Ride with me, RELOAD <3 and a whole lot!! I got into Johnnys because I started watching Lovely complex (yes! the anime hahahaha) and you know that Hey! Say! JUMP sings one of the opening and one ending, son I started looking for who was singing the songs, and boom! I got into this marvelous world full of glitter! I started to learning Japanese by myself last week, so I'm in basic level. I want to learn Japanese so I can understand movies, shows, music, and people :D

Date: 2020-02-24 12:51 pm (UTC)My favourite group has gotta be V6, they're just so... genuine? Like all their variety shows, appearances, everything they make it so fun. All the members have such distinctive personalities and I just love their energy and everything.
My favourite member is Miyake, but Morita and Innochi is ruining my lifeeeee~ I just love how sassy and outgoing Miyake is, like he's such a child but also quite mature (well obviously he's 40 lmao) but I just really love how he makes trouble, laughs and has fun all the time. I also love him being so sassy haha, he's so straightforward sometimes but also sometimes I can see him just warmly smiling at the other members when the camera isn't focusing on him and it's just so heartwarming. Also him in Made in Japan is hilarious lmao, I cannot take him seriously when he was acting cool there and that arm waving dance lmao
Morita is sigh, such a sweetheart. He's such an awkward but weird mess sometimes, like he prefers to be alone but really opens up when he's around his members and it's just nice to see him being so comfortable. I love seeing his antics and he's just so out there sometimes compared to the rest of the members but he also fits in so well. It's always really nice to see him smile in the background and just laughing his heart out with his members.
Innochi is such an outgoing friendly guy, like his laughing and smile attracted me to him so badly. As I found more videos on him, the sassier he became haha. I love how he takes care of all the other members and is honestly probably one of the more responsible members (maybe not as responsible as Nagano and Okada lol). Oh gosh I love it when he smiles and laughs like it's just a giant ray of sunshine.
(...I am maybe seeing a pattern here of smiling and laughing...)
Well, I love the other members too and I can't leave them out so I might as well continue lol
Nagano... is such a sweetheart. Like he's so caring and so mother-like while also playing around with the rest of the members. I love seeing him just warmly watching the other members do their thing and just letting the younger members tease him. He's just so gentle. I also cannot take him seriously in Made in Japan the opening sequence as well as the Tonisen head waving dance lmao ALSO HE WAS THE ULTRAMAN I GREW UP WATCHING!! That was pretty cool haha
Sakamoto is such a great leader in the group, and I really appreciate how he opened up about his struggles with being the leader as well as confronting his previous stubborn behaviour and recognising that it was really unhealthy for himself. It takes a lot of courage to open up that much, let alone in front of the camera for fans to see. I also love how much of a scaredy cat he is lmao, at first glance he really seems like the most manly and confident member but oof him being scared of everything is really cute
And lastly, our youngest, Okada. He's grown up so much and is so mature compared to the rest lol. He's so talented and I just love how his personality was cheeky and yet quite calm lolol I love him messing around with the older members and just kinda going along with everything. He is so good at everything he does, martial arts, acting etc like he's so perfect. I need to watch more of his movies, because he's fantastic in all of them. I also love the moments where he's really immature and the other members just sometimes let him do whatever he wants but he never does anything out of line coz he's mature lololol
My favourite songs hmm... this is hard because I'm actually a huge fan of Eurobeat as a genre in itself, so I loved Music for the People and Made in Japan but also I'm a fan of the original songs so I'm always like ahhhhhh I'm not used to his version with rap and Japanese. I honestly love Ai no Melody, especially the chorus, it's just so soft and the lyrics are even softer but I can't find the PV anywhere oh well. Honey Beat and Believe your Smile is also my favourites to listen, but I don't have the PVs AHHHh, I found music station performances on youtube so I'm tho lol.
My relationship with Jpop is actually pretty random, I'm honestly the type of person who prefers watching variety shows of members over music, I usually follow groups for their personality and members over their music because music genres always change. I think maybe 3/4 years ago I foung Hey! Say! Jump!'s Itadaki High Jump episodes on youtube before they were taken down and I was the different concepts. I checked out their music and it wasn't really for me but I enjoyed watching their variety shows etc.
When the videos were taken down, I tries LJ but er I am not very good at the internet and I gave up lol I knew some Johnny's members from dramas and movies and listened to Exile songs but wasn't particularly familiar with them. I watched a lot Japanese variety shows then and I remember checking out Johnny's groups and just searching for any if there was any videos on these groups. I kinda discovered V6 that way and was mainly just going through dailymotion, youtube, vimeo, everywhere except for LJ and DW lmao
I kinda slowly fell out of it until I randomly tried finding jpop vids on youtube and then watched all your vids a few months ago. I watched all your vids and kinda got back into the Jpop but not really. And then a few weeks ago, I rewatched all your vids again, rewatched the how to get into Johnny's vid and decided to not be lazy and actually follow it lol
And then now I'm buying tons of USBs for all this content I've missed out on.
I'm relatively okay at Japanese, I'm not decent but I can understand basic things, and if the person speaks slower I can kinda understand (as long as I take notes and research some vocab I don't know and revising the sentence structure lol) I mainly need help with vocab and grammar. I used to be a lot better but stopped studying it due to personal circumstances but I'm taking it as an elective for my important high school exams.

In MM, its Sato Masaki, shes just wild and crazy and very wierd person. But once shes5on stafe she just burns with passion. I fell in love with her when I saw the live performance of watashi no nanni mo wakacchanai.All of her moves just look so easy and fresh I just love her.
For SUJU it has to be A-cha, its that one song that when I listen to it I just can't bring myself to stop listening. And the last verse when all three main vocalists just go off it just Awwwwn
Fir MM, its One Two Three, its a catchy tune and the dance is just soo cool and I love everything about it.
Okay so at first I was into KPOP, then it got boring so I tried looking for Jpop music. The first Johnny song I listened to was Shake it by KIS-MY-FT2. I thought it was soo cringy and didn't make any sense to be an OST for a drama. Then I kept search for their songs and liked it. The I went back and forth from KPOP to JPOP. Then I found other groups like HEY!SAY!JUMP with Ride with me, NEWS with Koi No ABO and Barefoot Cinderella boy. But the group that caught my attention was KAT-TUN with Don't you ever stop with the beat box and the rap that was suppose to be in English but couldn't understand a word. Their music is sooo good I listen to it till this day. But then JPOP got boring bcause unlike Kpop there wasnt a platform where I could get to know my them or watch their mv. Which is why I liked Morning Musume with Hello Project because you can find their mv on YouTube with English sub and they have communities where you can learn a bit more about your idols. Then I stumbled on a group named Arashi with thesong Endless game and I liked it until I learned how old they were and thought it was wierd to like old guys trying to act cute. So I quickly passed. I kept listening to Kpop then it got boring and i went back on Jpop and searched for the most popular Jpop artist and got Takuya Kimura, I tought I fell in love then I stumbled on your YouTube channel talking about him and searched for his group and fell in love with Freebird and Stay their my fav song by them. And then I saw your V6 video and I can honestly say that you got me. I listened to all of their song I can say that the reason why I like them more than some of their Junior groups is because they make music that they love not songs that will Chart and you can feel that even with their recent tracks. I just awwn thank you. And thats why I am here to leanr more about them and laugh.
I dont know any Japanese and I am not planning on learning it.

Date: 2020-03-15 03:43 am (UTC)- I fell off from jpop like 11 years ago and got into kpop but before then I was really into kat-tun, arashi, news, kanjani8, and basically all the other Johnny’s boys too lol. Back then the music was something new to me and they were cute plus I enjoyed the dancing and their variety shows. But in kpop I’m into NCT and EXO because we love good looking kings who can sing and dance but are also cutie pies
- kamenashi and matsujun have always been my faves since I discovered jpop and I still do adore both of them. Kame was pretty and could sing well and matsujun was handsome and could act well and that’s how they got me
- man this one is hard lol, I think my overall fave Kat-tun song is signal cause it’s just such a fun song to sing along to. Honorable mentions are real face, lips, keep the faith, harukana yakasoku, will be alright, and one drop. From arashi I’ve always liked their debut song arashi but I also really like one love too, especially matsujun’s solo towards the end!
- I used to study a long long time ago but I can understand basic words and phrases and can kinda get the gist of a sentence if it’s not too long or complicated lol. Watching anime all these years and the jdramas I used to watch really helped with that lmao

Date: 2020-04-04 01:44 pm (UTC)So my favourite boyband is ofc ARASHI. I found them through Sho Sakurai. I watched his drama Kazuko Game and was really impressed by his acting skills. After knowing he belongs to a boyband ARASHI, I Searched some of the Arashi's contents on YouTube. Sakurai really won my heart. He is super funny with charming personality. He is actually my type of guy.
He is my favourite member in Arashi. Then I Searched some of the Arashi songs and the one that I liked the most is "Face Down".
The real reason why I got into Johnny, that credit actually goes to KATTUN. I love them. They are my first Jpop boyband. And I am a huge fan of KAME.
I am not learning Japanese. But I follow and sing some of the lyrics.
And I can assure you that I am not going to publish your video anywhere. I just want to see Kimura Takuya. There aren't much subbed videos on YouTube. Please help me. 🙏🏿

- HSJ's Yaotome Hikaru (such a dorky moodmaker and yet so talented, I love him since he's still a junior and his age is close to mine!) Miyake Ken & Ninomiya Kazunari (both are famous for their witty comebacks and forever young looks)
- HSJ's White Love & Setsunasa, Hikikaeni. Kinki Kids' Hakka Candy & Topaz Love. (I love all kinds of music but ballad touched me the most, these songs have a very nice lyrics that made me wanna cry every time i hear it as well.)
- Watched Nobuta wo Produce and got baited by Yamapi xD
- I can read hiragana/katakana and a few of kanjis. I think my level is around N4-N3. Am not trying to learn Japanese but I guess my ear and eyes is already got used with japanese after so long lol

And this is the first time I use this kind of website. *_* Everything here is new for me, I do not know the exact way to use it, so please pardon me if my stupidness (and my poor English writing) bother you.

My favorite group is KAT-TUN ( Huge, huge, huge love). I also fell in love with Toma Ikuta, YamaP and Shun Oguri.
I especially love KT with 3 members. The way they perform in stages is gorgeous, I can not take my eyes off them.
Each one has a different personality that I all fancy. However, Kamenashi Kazuya has taken my heart with no return with his beauty, his voice, his sexiness, his passion, his seriousness in work, his dedication for fans...* Erghhhh I'm soooo obsessed about him. ~.~
My fav songs of KAT-TUN are Real Face #2, to the Next, will be alright (bc they give me more energy to go thru this hard life) and Rain, Aishiteru Kara, Kizuna of Kame ( bc his voice in those ballads is toooooooo good)
To get more info about KAT-TUN, I studied JE culture and other JE artists and feel it interesting.
My Japanese is nearly 0 :)))) I just knew simplest words thru films such as o-hi-o, sa-yo-na-ra, kon-ni-chi-wa, i-ta-da-ki-msu , a-ri-ga-tou, aishiteru *guess you smiling when seeing my amazing Japanese =))))) Well, I am learning Chinese for my future job in Taiwan but I hope to know more about Japanese and its culture in one day.

-Hey! Say! JUMP because they are funny and their song can make me relax. For my favorite member is Yamada Ryosuke because he is ikemen and cute. My favorite song from them is Banger Night.
-Arashi because they are so cute at their age. My favorite member is Sakurai Sho because he is genius, funny and ikemen. Hahaha. My favorite song is One Love reborn.
-SixTONES because they really something. I can't explain very well for this one. Hahaha. My favorite member is Kyomoto Taiga because he is really beautiful and ikemen at the same time and his voice really good. My favorite song is Imitation Rain.

biases: tsukada ryoichi from ABC-Z and pretty much everyone from kinpuri lol I love watching tsukachan dance he just has so much energy on stage! not only that but I can tell in variety shows that he just wants to make everyone happy and I think that's precious <3 I can't pick a bias in kinpuri theyre all so cute and fun in their own ways and I love their dynamic! I'm also trying to get into V6 and I love masa so far! He seems like a really good leader for the members
fav song: probably full time lover by kinpuri! It's just a bop lmao simple as that
How I got into Johnny's: I first got into them thru Sexy Zone's feature on the show fuller house, it's a continuation of one of my fav shows full house and it featured marius yo in the episode where the characters went to japan for a wedding. At first I highly doubted they were a real thing but after some research I realized that it was just johnny being bad at naming things lol that was my first encounter with them and from there I just fell down the rabbit hole and here I am!
current Japanese level: I'm pretty bad at Japanese lol I know very very basic words but I can't read or anything. I'm trying to learn hiragana and hopefully I can memorize the alphabet by the end of quarantine but I'm really bad at Japanese right now.

My current Japanes languange right now is... well i can't describe it. I can understand when people talk with Japanese, but i can read them. I can read hiragana and katakana only, but i'm still super messy >,<

Date: 2020-08-15 08:06 pm (UTC)hello Im shannon my fave artist is snowman, I love the freedom and fun music, my fave member is ren I love his style I love that he is quiet and humble and hardworking he is the same age as me so I can learn a lot from his attitude, my fave song is kissin my lips because it is in English this lets me to get to know the artist voice a bit more but I also love don't hold back, I got into jpop because my bestie told me about it but I LOVE Johnny because its everything I hated about kpop no women in the company forcing them to date them, free, they can act sing and dace as well and they don't have to go to the army, all my fave kpop groups are in the army this year:(, I only knew about jpop this week so no Japanese at the moment all though I have just bought a Japanese learning book & I finish my normal studying this weekend so I can practice Japanese while in lockdown:)

The 4-nim NewS have great songs and Massu does a fantastic job designing the costumes. Of all of NeWs' songs I really liked the Ai Kobota and the concert version of Shock Me (where Massu raps!)

I'm fan of Japan culture such as anime, manga, dorama all of this make me fall in love to Japan even I don't know Japanese & for JE I know them through Arashi (hana yori dango dorama) & V6(Inuyasha anime ost).
My favorite song right now Love you only by Tokio.

My favorite groups are Arashi and V6 although I have had fangirling sessions on Tokio, Kinki kids, Kattun and Kanjani8~
Arashi and V6 are my ultimate as they were the ones who introduced me to the whole Jpop scene and they have been rays of sun in my darkest days.
MatsuJun and Ken are the members who I love just a tad bit more than the other members. I guess I have a thing for the tsundere and mischievous kind~
My favorite songs are Music for the People and One love. I shamelessly have jamming sessions to these songs almost everyday XD
I actually got into Jpop through the Jdrama Gokusen. MJ's acting as sawada and their ending song Feel Your Breeze got me into Arashi and v6. From there I just kept falling and falling down the hole XD
I am currently learning Japanese as a foreign language in my university and have given n5 level test~

Date: 2021-01-15 03:43 am (UTC)- Favorite group is Arashi! I got interested in them because of their hiatus lol and atm I wanted to get into a japanese boy group. I stayed because of their funny varieties and fell in love with the group.
-It's weird but my favorite was Nino for most of time I've been a fan but somewhere in the later half of the year I just switched to Jun. If I were to say why it's his cute side I love his banter with Yoshimura, his dorkiness on This is MJ, and his clumsiness.
- My favorite song changes all the time but currently it's Itsuka Byoshin No Au Koro.
I love the performance on This is Arashi Live it was the first time knowing the song and I loved it.
-I explained this above but after hearing Arashi hiatus in my japanese class I kept their name in my mind. I was reading Hana Yori Dango manga at the time and wanted to look at the dramas. I saw Jun and thought he was handsome so I searched his name and he was in his thirties and was a Arashi member! I then dove into Arashi content and learn all about johnny's from their varieties. (funnily enough I didn't watch HanaDan).
I took 3 years of japanese in highschool however after that I didn't keep up with it/ practice it much. I should start working on it again before I lose it all.

- I don't really have ichiban. But think I interested in V6, TOKIO & KinKi Kids a little better. I like bond between them (sorry for my bad English).
- I like many Johnny's songs such as: Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana, Sorafune, One Love, Change The World...
- How you originally got into J-Pop/Johnny's? As I told, I watched some dramas that Johnny's boys acted. I got to know them and started liking them.
- What is your current Japanese language level/Are you trying to learn Japanese? I do not know Japanese. I only know the alphabet and some simple sentences.
